WHY SUPPORT CJL

  • CJL engages 86% of Jewish students at Princeton—an achievement recognized by Hillel International as exceeding its standards for excellence in student engagement.

  • More than 250 students share Shabbat dinner together at CJL every week.

  • Hundreds of personal encounters and meaningful Jewish conversations take place between staff and students every week.

  • CJL offers 10-week learning fellowships every year, which allow students to immerse themselves deeply in topics that matter to them such as biomedical ethics, public policy or business ethics—all explored through a Jewish lens.

  • CJL has recently led Immersion trips to Argentina and Israel that enable students to explore their Jewish identities on a global level.

  • Our nationally-recognized educational programs provide students with diverse opportunities for rabbinic and peer-led learning that is intellectually rigorous and personally relevant.

  • More than 100 students hold leadership positions at the CJL through our Student Board and 17 affiliated student groups

  • Through service projects and social justice initiatives like Challah for Hunger, students directly put into action the Princeton value of “in the nation’s service and in the service of all humanity” and the Jewish commitment to tikkun olam-- repairing the world.

  • CJL’s full-time Israel Fellow connects Princeton students with the land and people of Israel through educational, cultural and social programs throughout the year.

Join us in fulfilling our mission to strengthen the Jewish future by empowering Jewish students at Princeton through our programs and experiences.
